Ah the last day of a short week, it couldn’t have come sooner. Why is it that short weeks always seem to drag on? That is how I felt this week. It was farewell for some mums going on maternity leave at work. Our HR manager Allison and our recruitment manager, Abbey were both fare welled to start a new chapter in their lives. My friend Maria and I took Allison out for morning tea at The Tea Salon in the Westfield whee we exchanged notes on being mums while we had this amazing tea. Take a look at the Victorian Tea pot.
For lunch, it was again at the roast place with Maria but instead of the fish, I had slow roasted lamb. I did not want a big lunch as I was meeting my boys for dinner at Darling harbour. We take Yash to the Lindt cafe every Easter for chocolates and waffles. This year was no different. We had a nice Italian dinner at Baia. I chose the grilled barramundi with BBQ kig prawn with spinach while my darling husband chose the trusted Di Mari pizza (feta, prawn, scallops). I also had a glass of moscato, my fav wine while Avi chose a lemonade as he was driving.
It was a lovely warm night and the dinner was followed by a hot chocolate and waffles for Yash. By the time we had eaten and finished, we were ready to go to bed. Next time we have decided that for a dinner out like this, we will actually stay in the city, now that we don’t live close by, so that we can prolong the evening. A wonderful day came to an end. Bring on the long weekend. Till tomorrow……
