100 days of food – Day 3

Posted on January 8, 2014 by Sonali

Wednesday, hump day….weekend is not far! Last night was tiring what with Yash waking up every few hrs. It does not happen very often but when it does, it means that I don’t get any sleep. So I woke up this morning feeling grumpy and cranky!

I went for coffee with my friend Maria and Irene who was in town from Melbourne. There is this new cafe called Pablo and Rusty’s that has opened up next to our office. Their coffee and breakfast is very good. The only downside is that it takes time to get breakfast coz it is always very busy. We had our coffees there. For breakfast, I had a cheese and ham toastie on sourdough bread and the cheese was cheddar. It was delicious and a great start to the day.

Wednesday is usually my meetings day. After several meeting I decided to go for lunch to do some shopping at Myers with my friend Ornella. So lunch was a quick grilled fish and an alu paratha from the Indian shop. Not too heavy and satiated my hunger.

Wednesday is also no gym today. So I came back from work and spent time with my boys. As we had already had leftover food from last night, we did not cook anything. Dinner today was cauliflower and potatoes and peas vegetable (masala gobhi alu) with some Lebanese bread and some leftover kidney beans curry. I heated the Lebanese bread with some butter on the tawa to make them a bit crispy. They tasted yum with the masala gobhi. Here is the pic for today.
