Ah Friday…finally you have arrived! This first week back to work was hard. With most of my team still away, I spent a lot of time at my desk planning. Now getting into the execution mode for the next few months!
Breakfast this morning was my trusted toasted muesli yoghurt from Top Juice. It really charges me for the day. I make it at home as well but have not been very organised this week. From next week, Yash will start vacation care and it will be back to routine.
Irene is in town. That meant we went out for lunch. Today was a day for Malaysian. We went to Chinta Ria at Westfield. I had Nasi Goreng while Irene tried the Mee Goreng. Both dishes were delicious.
My friend Gia and I came home together in the evening and like true indian most of our conversation revolved around food. That is a mark of being indian. Our lives start and end with food. We love to feed and be fed. With a cuisine as vast as ours, there is no wonder we have a spiritual connection with food. In fact none of our festival or even religious ceremony is complete without a feast. If you wanna taste good food, make sure you have an indian friend 🙂
Dinner for me today was boiled basmati rice with left over masala cauliflower and some arhar dal. When I was young, we used to lament with my mom about having the poor people meal like lentils and rice and why doesn’t she make paneer. These days the so called poor people meal is my favourite meal. I love coming back home and enjoying it with a little desi ghee. So tonight was a good night! Here is the picture of tonight’s meal!
