The start of the week in our house is always crazy, coz we are busy on the weekend. So week starts a bit hectic!
Monday was usual. Yash got dressed himself which was fab. We are slowly teaching him to be independent and he has started doing his own chores. I know it is not something to blog but I consider every small achievement as a milestone with my son. Also, because these things make me realise that my baby is growing very fast. Before I know it, he will be a strapping young man, independent and not needing his mum. A part of me wants to cling to these moments a big longer! I guess that is the circle of life…
Tuesday was Mother’s Day breakfast at Yash’s school. My boy was very excited because this was the first time I was going. He woke up way too early and kept on pushing me to drive faster to reach his school. It was a lovely event and seeing so many moms with their children makes you realise that these moments are precious and all that is important in life, Yash made me stay for the whole assembly as he was very happy to have his mum at school, which is a rare event! Here is my pic with my beautiful son!
I did watch a few movies but let me review another classic.
Anand
Another Amitabh Classic, this is known more for another superstar – Rajesh Khanna. The movie is about a man who is suffering from a termina disease and knows that he will not live long. By the way I noticed that ‘lymosercoma of the intestine’ is mentioned in this movie. May be they picked it from here in Munnabhai MBBS. Our hero is full of life and wants to live every day enjoying in spite of his illness. Amitabh on the other hand is cynical and disillusioned with the society and the world. The movie then goes on to show how Anand(Rajesh Khanna) affects Amitabh’s attitude and he starts seeing life in a new light. Ably supported by Ramesh Deo, his wife Seema Deo, Lalita Pawar, Sumita Sanyal and Durga Khote, the movie is a treat to watch.
What I like about the movie is the actors and their acting of course but the movie itself gives a very strong message. Life is a gift and given only once. Live it to the fullest. There are those who don’t have what you may be thinking of giving away.
Another highlight of the movie is its music by Salil Chaudhary. Songs like “Kahin door jab din dhal jaaye” and “Maine tere liye” are immortal and still enjoyed by today’s generation even though the movie is over 40 years old.
