Another year has passed and we are into another year! Time does fly, I feel I was writing this about 2013 not too long ago. If I look back at 2013, it was an interesting year.Ā
At the start of every year, I set myself with some values and goals to achieve. I don’t like calling them resolutions coz then the chance of success are lower…I know sounds ridiculous but that is what I feel š 2013 was about forgiveness and focussing on that value and if I look back, I feel I have grown to be more of a forgiving person. Children learn from their parents and I hope Yash has imbibed that from me this year.Ā
I also set myself a challenge to complete 100 days of office wear which I was able to achieve. My journey there was fantastic and made me appreciate clothes and dressing up more.
2013 was also the year when I visited my birth country after three and a half years. It was also the first time Yash visited it since he can build memories. And oh what fun he had! Starting from bonding with his cousin to getting spoilt by his Masi and nani, Yash did not want to come back. It was only the charm of Hong Kong Disney land that brought him back to his home country.
So many memories! We bid adieu to 2013 dancing away with friends, someĀ of whom are family in our adopted home, ushering in 2014 for new beginnings.
2014 is a special year! We will be completing a decade in our adopted country, a place that Yash and we call home now! My baby will be a big boy starting Kindy and embarking on another journey. Avi and I will complete 14 glorious years of married life. I have no complaints!Ā
For me 2014 will be about turning 40 and starting another year and decade of marking off things from my bucket list. My focus would be tolerance, peace and love coz the world can never get enough of that! On that note Happy 2014 peeps….hope it brings lots of happiness in your lives.
