What a night! I had stomach cramps which meant sleep was disturbed. I was better in the morning but decided to take the rare day off to rest.
I did not know if I will feel hungry or not after the cramp situation but I was starving by the time it was 930. I decided to make rava idlis for breakfast. The best purchase I have made in recent times is my microwave mini idli maker. The idlis are ready in 3 mins and come out all fluffy and soft. I always keep MTR rava idli mix at home and this morning I had my breakfast cooked and ready in less than 10 minutes and best of all it was healthy and delicious!
By lunch I was feeling much better and craving for something spicy. Avi had been craving for some nice takeaway indian meal since yesterday, so we ordered food from our local restaurant called Himalaya. Bad decision! The food was stale and crappy. We have ordered before, albeit at dinner, so not sure if it was this way because we ordered at lunch but the restaurant is definitely off the list. We had kadhi pakora, daal makhni and chilli chicken(I didn’t have the chicken) with plain naan and aloo kulcha. Imagine having reheated naan and kulcha! I will post the recipe when I cook the kadhi and daal myself as I am sure I can do a better job.
Tonight was Zumba night. So evening was off to the gym learning cha cha and salsa steps. There was also a bollywood song thrown in the mix and the instructor was teaching some mild Bhangra steps. That song made me launch into full fledged Bhangra! I am loving Zumba especially coz I love dancing. By the time I came back home, I was hot and sweaty and the afternoon food after Zumba had unsettled me. So dinner tonight was some chopped cucumber with salt and pepper. Love it in summers! Tomorrow may be I will try if with chat masala, indian style 🙂 Here is today’s picture!
