Three-quarters of the way through my journey! Wow! Only 25 days to go…….I have to start thinking about my next!
I knew today will be a busy day with me juggling my corporate and mum avatar. We had Clayton Christensen talk in the morning. There is only one way I can describe it – profound! I have never met a more engaged speaker and I have been to a few talks. The rest of the speakers and panel members, bar Malcolm Turnbull, paled in comparison. I am partial to Mr. Turnbull 🙂
Mr. Turnbull spoke about his vision about innovation and his party’s support on it. Mr. Christensen produced theories and concepts that really had you thinking and your brain juices flowing. I came back stimulated and energised – a sign of a great talk!
In the evening Yash had his prep game night. Sausage sizzle, water games and fun; Yash was super excited. So I came home early to be a mum and took him back to school. It was good fun for him and I got to meet other parents. Every time I visit his school, I feel more and more that we have made the right choice for his education. The school has same values and vision towards education as us, something that is very important. Here are some pics from the evening.
For my corporate avatar, I wore a striped, collared, sleeveless top with plain black skirt. The skirt was the wrong choice! The room where we sat was freezing and I spent majority of te time rubbing or trying to cover my legs. Below is the look.
