I missed the blog yesterday – it was a long, hard day! Have you ever had days where they started out normal and then just go downhill! Yesterday was one such day for me and the worst part is that there was no specific reason for the same.
Now back to the blog topic – I confess I am a TV addict. If I am sitting in the living room or cooking, I have TV running in the background. Mostly it is something that is my favourite and I have already watched, which means that it doesn’t need my undivided attention.
I love sitcoms and there are a few over the years which are my absolute favourite. I will list a few of them for this post.
Bewitched
I was introduced to this series when I first watched the movie by the same name starring Nicole Kidman. They mentioned the series in that movie multiple times and when I researched on it, I found it interesting. When I started watching it, I was hooked. The story of a witch trying to settle in a normal, American household resulted in a lot of laughs. We now own all the seasons on DVD.
The Nanny
“Oh Mr Sheffield”! The antics of Fran Fine as a nanny to Englishman Maxwell Sheffield is a treat to watch. I loved how she is proud of her ethnicity and opens up the Englishman to the life lived by people in “Queens”. All seasons are now available on Prime!
Friends
There would be a few people who would not know about this iconic series which has a cult status. I first watched it in india and loved it for the American life of close friends. I imagined a similar life at that young age. Since then, I have watched in literally 100s of time and it is one of our favourite show to watch when we don’t have anything else.
Downton Abbey
When the series first came on channel 7 in Oz, I did not care for it. It was much later that I started watching it and fell in love. The English life in the 1900s has always interested me and the series ticked all the boxes. It has taken its form place in my list of favourites now.
Do you have any suggestions for any others to watch that may become my next favourite?
