My reading is very eclectic. I will pick up a book, not like it and then keep it away. I will pick it up again after months and it will become my favourite book. It all depends on my state of mind when I am reading a particular book. I am hoping it is not just me and all readers face the same emotions.
One book that disappointed me this year is Before the Coffee gets cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. The book summary was exciting and I had read some great reviews. But I started reading it and I lost interest straight away. I think it is partly because the book has been translated and I feel that some of the nuances that come with language have been lost.
I am hoping that I will be able to pick the book up in a few weeks and read it in one go. Till then, it will remain a disappointment.
