Today is 4th July….nothing to do with America but it is my mom’s birthday. I am what my mum taught me. Now that I am a mom myself, I salute her for raising 3 different, opinionated, strong individuals like us. Throw my dad in the mix and I sometime wonder how she coped with us all – maybe Valium helped her 🙂
Happy birthday Mom!
The day in office was uneventful. I did manage to get a lot done thanks to some precious desk time and lack of neighbours to disturb. I tell you, open plan offices are not always the best thing especially if you wish to focus on something.
I was having dinner with a friend, so I wore my navy Jump dress. It has a beautiful orange and cream pattern on it. It was an instinctive buy from Myers coz I liked the cowl neck. I don’t think it is the most flattering dress on me but I certainly like the colours and with right jacket and shoes, it can carry the business look but you can also wear it for a dinner, which is what I did.
