After ages came a 3 day weekend. Holidays are rare in this country, so I wanted to make the most of it. But nature had other plans. To be fair, Saturday was sunny…we decided to visit our house that day. Now that it is nearing completion, the wait is becoming excruciating. Here is the picture of our almost completed house!
We are moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 4 bedroom house. So my husband keeps reminding me that it is a 10 year project and I should not get overboard 🙂
But I am a woman…patience is not my strongest point. I managed to convince my darling husband to take me furniture shopping on Sunday. We had previously seen some pieces but nothing to my liking. We went to this shop and I was in love! I am a huge fan of wood furniture – solid and classic. And this shop was full of the kind of furniture that I like. Here is my coffee table
Nice right? After that the boss i.e my 4 year old son directed us to the biggest shop around the corner, toys r us……his mama was with him, so he had the opportunity to wrangle one from him as well. Two boxes later, he was happy camper. Check it out!
After 2 days of bliss, Monday started with rain. I knew that this will be hard considering that Yash gets bored quickly. So we ensured that we were armed with plenty in the bed. After convincing Yash that bed is where it will be today, I cooked the UP breakfast – besan Ki poori. Perfect for he weather and with 3 boys in tow meant that I was free not to cook lunch after this brunch 🙂 I settled in my warm bed with tea and my feel good book – The Hindi Bindi Club by Monica Pradhan. If you have not read the book, I would recommend it if you are interested in chick lit. It is a great book exploring relationships in a foreign land.
And now the 3 day weekend is over and a new week is going to start *sigh*. At least it will be a short 4 day week. Now I am looking forward to moving into my new home – our dreams! Next post from my new bedroom 🙂
