I know I haven’t been regular! I know I said I will blog everyday but it is taking me longer to adjust to the new routine. The cold weather is not helping either. All I want to do is curl up in bed and read! They say winters are for hibernation and I concur. I feel like hibernating for the next few months.
So what has been happening in my life for the last few days? On the tech detox front, it has lessened naturally, I barely have time to indulge in technology. I haven’t been strictly following my time line but my over all usage is considerably reduced.
Weekend went in a jiffy. Saturday was Nikhita’s birthday. There was a lot of excitement in our house hold. Now Nikhita is the sibling Yash never had. It helps that she is also the sister of his best friend and his favourite person in the whole world – Nikhil. The only downside of the day was that for some reason he woke up in the wrong side of the bed. I fail to understand the law of murphy – if you are wanting things to happen, the spanner in the wheel comes before you even start planning.
Anyways, after a few difficult conversations and some tears, we finally reached the birthday party and it was lots of fun. Yash was so happy to see his friends and we we were to see ours. It was great, here is the proof to the pudding!
If we spend one day of the weekend out, the other day is spent planning for the week. That was Sunday! I spent the majority of the day cooking and doing other household tasks to ensure that the week runs smoothly. Now that I come home on reasonable time, we have an early dinner so that we can retire to bed early and Yash can get enough sleep to have a drama less morning. It is working well so far, let us hope it lasts.
My last few days have been the usual routine – getting up, getting ready for work, training at work, coming back, dinner, yash’s homework and bed. The only alteration to this is Tuesday when he goes for his karate class. Apart from that weekdays are set pattern and today was no different.
This is about to change as my sister is coming next week for 2 weeks. To say I am excited is an understatement. She is coming after 8 years and will be visiting our house for the first time. So we have been planning for her trip. Yash is very eager as this is the first time he will be welcoming his cousin to his house. Usually it is the other way around. So happiness all around. I will write more of our escapades when she arrives. Till tomorrow!
