I have loved public speaking since a young age. I used to participate in declaration, debates, plays, dance, dramas – you name it! If I got an opportunity to get on stage, I would be there. I loved performing in front of a crowd.
When I got in college, it was different but same. I still loved stage but also loved activism and speaking up about things that mattered. It did get me in the principle’s office a few times but that didn’t deter me. I loved the stage there too. In fact, someone I knew offered me to host a program on TV. But those were different times in india and my dad was not comfortable sending me alone to a different city. In fact he wasn’t sure if it was genuine or a trap. Either way, I did not go and possibly did not make history 🙂
While adulting and living the hustled life, I have left that love behind. I have slowly started getting into my passion of singing, dancing etc back. My hope is that as I get more time to myself, I am able to revive my love and also get the opportunities to practice it. Amen to that!
