It was a hectic day yesterday! Microsoft was running a Lego dimensions show for the kids in their Pitt St mall store and my friend Padma and I had registered our kids. We had 3 very excited kids in the morning. It started showering as we were getting to the station but that did not dampen their spirits. The trip to the city and the excitement of Microsoft store was enough for them to be happy.
The store had done a great job organising the event. With personalised Lego name tags and treating the little ones like young adults, the Microsoft team was fabulous. Our three were super happy to see the big Lego characters and then even more when they played the latest game on Xbox. The next activity was making some blocks of Lego with right coloured bricks to finish up a character. Oh what fun! The Microsoft team was surprised how quickly the kids finished it, they were dealing with Lego pros!
The final and the most important part was that the kids got a personalised certificate and a goody bag! Ah the pleasure on the faces of Yash, Nikhil and Nikhita was priceless! They wanted to explore the content of the bag straightway and we had to really restrain them to prevent everything from falling on the sidewalk.
The weather was getting cloudy again and that meant that our plans for a picnic in Hyde Park was reduced to a quick bite on the benches before bringing 3 tired but ecstatic kids home. They are already looking forward to next week for another trip to the city when we are taking them to Sydney Observatory. Check out the picture from yesterday.
I am quite enjoying this phase of motherhood. They say a child needs you more when they are young, my experience tells me that they need you at every stage, just in a different way! I love now that I can chat with Yash and we watch various programs together and can talk to a dozen. I am loving spending time with him and watching him develop in a boisterous, mischievous but kind hearted boy!
In the evening, both my boys wanted chicken curry, so I cooked that. It must be good coz Yash had 3 bowl full of just that for dinner. Avi had it with rice and was happy. Check out the picture!
It is after all school holidays, so Yash and I ended the day watching the movie “Inside Out” on Netflix. A friend of mine had recommended it but I had not watched it till now. It is a fabulous movie! I loved how they have deconstructed the brain and the various emotions inside it to give the message that all emotions are important for a healthy child. Love love love the movie! Must watch if you haven’t till now.
I am running out of superstitions! I was not born in a very superstitious household, so know only a few. Here is one but let me know more so that I can explore them.
Superstition of the day
Don’t go out of the house after a sneeze
My explanation for this is simple. Sneeze signifies, especially multiple that you are unwell. Also, you cannot see when you sneeze as you claps your eyes. So this developed to prevent you from harm. Till tomorrow…..
