This time I have planned an activity for Yash pretty much everyday for the school holidays. It is needed to wear out my boisterous boy. Yesterday was one of the few days at home. Yash was meant to clean his room while I was gonna get some much needed rest.
But when do things go according to plan? We woke up late – that is Yash woke up late which delayed everything. I tend to wake up usually at the same time. My body clock is tuned that way. Gone are the days when my friends used to tease me that I have the ability to go to a sound sleep the moment my head touches the pillow. Ah the deep sleep of youth with no worry in your head, just sweet dreams!
When we are younger, we have this urge to grow up and be independent. Now I can give anything to go back to my carefree youth and live with my parents forever. I had a good childhood and an absolutely fabulous youth. My parents brought all of us with a lot of love but more importantly trust. I never remember a time when my parents took someone else’s word over ours. That gave us a lot of security and meant that we were always keen to go back home. Parties, drinking, masti, my parents always knew what we were doing and where we were. This ensured a solid trust between us and that remains till date.
So yesterday, we went out for lunch at MacArthur. Yash had lunch and Avinash had an Aussie burger at this roast place. I had fish and I must say the food was amazing. Avi raved about his burger and my fish was perfectly, melt-in-mouth cooked. They even had pork crackling like chips in a cup which I was very tempted to buy till I reminded myself of the fat content in it. Yash took a picture of us. This is love! Till tomorrow….
