I have been sick! The weather has changed and the slight coolness in the morning brought sickness for me. Why? Coz I went for walk in the morning and my sweaty self exposed to the cold wind ensured that I had runny nose and sore throat. While I have not been in bed, thanks to Lem Sip, my walks have been thrown out of the window meaning my #30daywalkingchallenge too is gone. I would have to restart the challenge at some later day.
My tech detox has been a bit wobbly too, I am ashamed to admit! Sickness has meant I have gone to my ways of playing games on the iPhone while I self pity myself during early nights in bed. That is one of the reasons I haven’t blogged too. All in all not a great week!
The only silver lining was that I had my son’s friend at home. The kids had lot of fun while Padma and I chatted and discovered friendship! We always knew that we got along well over our chats on whatsapp but in those few hours I felt that she was someone who understands and I can call a close friend. Who would have thought that the kids closeness will pass on to the mums, usually it is the other way around. But I am glad coz sisterhood and close female friendship makes you stronger! We girls need to stick together!
For the various days, I will only post the stats coz I don’t have much to write about. But before that let us talk about the superstition explanation.
Superstition of the Day
My grandmother used to say that you should not cut your nails in twilight otherwise your uncle might lose the way. Now my explanation is that the whole uncle thing was scare mongering. The real reason was that in the pre electricity and nail cutter days, twilight was the time of the day with very little light. So that you don’t injure yourself, the scare tactics about uncle was used.
Here are my dismal stats for 4 days! I will restart the challenge on 1st May. No stats till then but I will be more regular with my blog! Till tomorrow…..
