Autumn has well and truly arrived. It was cold in the morning and the evening and my sniffles told me to rug up. I am getting old!
The challenge is getting easier, I no longer have the obsession to constantly pick up my iPhone or iPad to look or play games. It is an improvement, I am sure by the end of 100 days, I will get rid of my addiction.
It was a cooking day yesterday. We cook every alternate day and on the day, I usually cook a few vegetable curries and a dal (lentils). Yesterday, I cooked mushroom capsicum curry, jeera aloo ( potatoes with cumin seed) and my favourite masoor dal. There was some store bought naan in the fridge and dinner was delicious. Mannu (my pet name for Yash) and I had it while watching our favourite show “My Kitchen Rules”. Yesterday our favourite contestants “The Italianos” lost and left the show. But there is still plenty left to watch! We will be following it till the end.
I went to watch a new Bollywood movie “Kapoor and Son” in the cinema hall! I love movies and Bollywood movies are my favourite. I am glad that now they are shown in cinemas here – when we initially moved to Australia, I had to content myself watching them on cheap, pirated DVDs. For a woman who used to watch “First Day, First Show”, it was a torture. Now, with all the good movies showing in cinemas the same day as india, I am a very happy woman!
I watched this one only because it had 2 hot guys in it! Both Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan are one of my favourites. Fawad especially is not only good on the eyes but an extremely talented actor. You only have to watch some of his Pakistani dramas like “Humsafar” and “Zindagi Gulzar Hai” to get the proof! And the movie was not bad. Family is all you have, so make mends when you have time or else……The songs were fab and it required a better editor, but all in all good! Watch it at home if you get a chance.
I am excited about the 4 day weekend coming up. With the cool weather, it will be spent with family, friends, food and fun. On that note, till tomorrow…….
