It is getting easier by the day! I have learnt one thing – reliance on something is in your head. Mind over matter! If you tune your mind to agree and acknowledge that you don’t need something, it acquices. It is all a game of what you believe!
Sunday is a lazy day in our household – it is a day of sleep-ins, late breakfast, and doing what you feel like without any rush. After having my customary 2 teas for the weekend, I came down to have breakfast. Yash and I had a hangover breakfast (we did not have any hangover, that is just our name for the brekkie) of leftover sausages, hash brown and some bacon bread. It tasted even more delicious than the previous night.
After that, Yash got busy with his playing and I got busy cleaning the kitchen. Not once I missed my tech toys. I went back to my other love – cooking. I cooked khichdi for lunch – my fav comfort food and then prepared for paneer parathas for dinner. Cooking is therapeutic for me and I felt relaxed after my sojourn in the kitchen.
While Avi was busy doing outdoor tasks like mowing the lawn and shopping for groceries, Yash and I sat down on the couch to watch the Aus vs Sri Lanka cricket game. A very imp match, Yash was very excited that he could support his country and kept on waving the flag every time Aus scored or took a wicket. This went on till the end of the match which meant we had a pretty late night which meant this morning was a struggle but more on that tomorrow! Here is a picture of my son with his flag all ready to support Australia!
