A year gone by……

This Saturday my little boy is going to turn one….yes, he is not a baby anymore:-( And I am reminiscing about the year gone by. Last year at this time I was freaking out as the midwives had just informed me that there was something not right with my pregnancy and I had to be induced….I broke down, the only time during my entire pregnancy!!

Since Yash has arrived, our life has changed drastically…for good and bad, dunno!! All I know is that it is a massive change. We have become parents and are woken up with a sloppy smile on the cheek, sleep deprivation is part of life and the messy house does not bother me at all…in fact, if the house is spotles, I wonder if I have entered a wrong one.

Balancing work and life is a challenge that I have learned to juggle, not in the best ways most of the time but am getting better as time passes. I now try and have more patience and energy (popping iron pills is the key) just so that I can spend that extra time with my boy in the evenings once I am back from work. Work has become secondary for a workaholic like me…..a huge change!!

I am so looking fwd to Saturday so that I can celebrate his first birthday with a fe close friends…he may not remember it but I will in the years to come by. Happy Birthday Son!!
