April created so many memories for me. It has always been a special month as I got married in April. Every year, we try and get away from the mundane of daily life and spend some precious time together as a family. This year was a milestone year as we completed 25 years of married bliss. My parents joined us from India to celebrate this with us and it became extra special creating memories with them.
My parents were visiting us after 6 years. So we spent most time together chatting and travelling. We fitted in a trip to Melbourne, something that my mum has been wanting to do for some time now. It was wonderful to take them around as tourists and we took them to Ballarat for lunch to show them the charm of an old regional city. It was a trip for the memory books.
The last weekend of April was a fun afternoon with The Saree Club. I took mum and she loved it especially as she had never been to lawn balls before. While the rain dampened the balling part, it was lots of fun playing games and taking pics. Mum and I had a wonderful time.
As every day passes in my life, I am practicing grace for the blessings in my life – a supportive husband, an adoring child, loving parents and siblings, amazing friends – I am so lucky! I have learnt that when you shift your mindset from “everyone is out to get me” to “everyone is trying to do their best” you start appreciating grace. It is not about them, it is about how you want to lead yore life.
Here are some memories from April.
