It was my birthday yesterday! I completed 50 years on the planet. I am grateful to grow old, relatively healthy and counting my blessings.
I look back and I have so much to be thankful about!
- I am a first born to parents who love me unconditionally. We were middle class and did not have a lot of money as I was growing up but we made up with lots of love and affection.
- I am blessed with a younger sister and brother and have a close relationship with both. We are not the Instagram siblings professing our love but they are my support system.
- I married an amazing man and thank the universe every day that I have a partner who is also my friend. He gave me the biggest love of my life, my son who is growing to be an intelligent, caring and loving man.
- I have had good friends all my life who loved and cherish me for who I am. I am immensely grateful for the close friendships I managed to create after I moved countries, which I always thought was hard.
In my 50 years, I have always held on to my values and been true to myself. That has held me in good stead till now and will hopefully carry me in this mortal life. Here’s to a few more fun decades.
