I have been working since a young age. I loved being independent. I was in year 9 when I starting taking tuitions for younger kids. The moolah I earned funded my latest fashion.
I qualified as a teacher and even taught for a while. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would be in Australia heading operations in a listed company one day.
I love my job and am really good at it. But if I had any job in the world, I would have been a talk show host. I like to talk to people and I like to know their stories. I am genuinely interested in the human behind the face, what shaped them, what are their motivations and aspirations etc.
When I was in college, I once got an offer to host a musical TV show but it was the 90s in India. While my parents were progressive, they were still scared that it may hurt my chances of getting married. So I let go of that option.
It still is a dream I sometimes think about and fulfill my desire by MCing events when I can get a chance. Who knows a miracle might happen and you may see me as a show host. So watch this space
