I started practising gratitude a few years ago after I read a book by Dalai Lama. It talked about how abundance doesn’t equate to greed. It taught being thankful for what we have in our lives.
Since then I started practising gratitude – constantly reminding myself of what I have rather than looking for what I could have. I did a gratitude challenge for a year where everyday I posted a picture of things that I was grateful for. That helped me keep my focus. This year I bought a gratitude journal to pen my thanks to the universe everyday.
There is a lot I am grateful for, especially today when the world is hit by pandemic, it becomes all the more relevant.
- I am grateful for my family who love me unconditionally.
- I am grateful to have married a man who stands by me in thick and thin.
- I am grateful for my friends for accepting me for who I am.
- I am grateful for all that I have achieved in my life.
I can continue coz there is so much to be thankful for! By practising gratitude we are watering our souls and infusing happiness and positivity in our lives. Have you practiced gratitude? Compile your list today and see your life change!
