Over the years, I have written a few blog posts about gratitude and practicing gratitude. I have also written a few about what I am thankful for in my life.
As I grow older, I become more and more aware of how beautiful life is and how every sunrise gives us a chance to rewrite yesterday and start all over again.
My gratitude list also keeps including new things. I am grateful for:
- Energy – I believe in things like positive energy and the aura that you create by strengthening it. I am grateful of my energy. I work everyday to consciously stay away from negativity and negative energy around me.
- Strength – I am grateful for both mental and physical strength that I currently have. I am more aware now than ever that one has a huge influence on the other. So I try that I do a work out for both of them.
- Stability – It means different things for different people and while I am good at adapting to change, I like some things stable like close relationships, my home and finances.
In todays world, where the media is focussed on shock news and anything that is “newsworthy”, we need to make a conscious effort everyday to centre ourselves and surround with positive emotions. Practising gratitude helps in achieving both.
