Today’s question – “What’s your favourite cartoon?”
I love cartoons – it is a magical world. I grew up reading the Hindi cartoons – some of my favourite characters were Billu, Pinky, Sabu and Chacha Chaudhari. Me and my sister used to spend all our pocket money buying or renting these books. We loved them and still do if we can get our hands on those.
In the 90s when India had globalisation , we were introduced to Mickey, Donald Duck and Tom & Jerry. I loved all of them and every Sunday morning watched them at the “cartoon hour” as it was called.
I still love watching Tom & Jerry and passed on my love for cartoons to my son. We watch them together as family time. I feel sad that the kids today don’t watch them as much as they really are magical and an indicator of happy childhood.
