Today’s question – “A mistake that helped you grow”
Humans are born to make mistakes. That is how we learn. We start walking by falling, we make gibberish noises before we learn to talk, everything we know today is a learned skill.
I am not sure how and when it was decided that making mistakes is a bad thing. In fact, it helps you grow.
I have made a lot of mistakes in my life but the one that stands out to me and really helped me in my growth was around people. I made the mistake to think that everyone who I met was/should be/will be like me. So they will have same values.
It took me a few years and heartbreaks to realise that it is not the case. People are not always what they seem and look on the outside. It was a great learning curve for me that helped me let go of my ego and judgements.
It helped me realise that people are different and everyone is shaped by their life experiences. The only thing I have control over is my own energy and who I want to spend time with.
It has helped me grow immensely and certainly helped in having better relationships over all. I am now more intrinsically focussed which helps me grow even more.
