So I was set to buy an ebook reader. My friend Ornella inspired me and in doing the research for her, I became very interested and thought about buying one myself. After all I love reading books, and not just any books…I love reading indian authors, most of which are not easily available in Sydney. I thought the technology finally will come to my aid and I will be able to get my favorite book on my Kindle…after all Amazon is the world’s largest book store.
How wrong was I! I have been meaning to read this book “The Sandalwood Tree” by Elle Newmark. And I have been meaning to read it for a very long time. I checked the Kindle store and it was there for a stellar price of only $12.99…a bargain. I went to buy it on my kindle for iPad and could not search for it…BECAUSE I AM IN AUSTRALIA AND THE BOOK IS NOT TO BE SOLD HEER!! As you can see I am incensed. What is the point of technology if I am restricted by boundaries….
So I am back to the basics. I went to my favorite Online bookstore and ordered it….from UK with free delivery…to hell with technology and ebook readers…I am happy being a traditional girl.
