L is for Love. There could have been no better letter on my birthday coz it is the core philosophy of my life. If I have to summarise my life, it would be live it fully, laugh heartily and love fiercely.
Love is the most powerful force in the world. It has the power to change! Love transcends boundaries, languages and any human made barriers. It is unspoken, felt and everyone responds to it.
Again, like kindness, all the religions, teachings and preachers talk about it – in fact it is the cornerstone of every religion. So I am throughly astounded when it is used to divide and differentiate and perpetuate hate. If ever a social experiment was conducted around the common teachings of all religions in the world and people exposed to it without knowing which was which, I bet they would not be able to differentiate.
I love to love! In my younger days, it was the romance and the idea of falling in love that excited me. As I have grown older, it is love in its pure form that keep me going. I love my family, friends and anything where my energy aligns. I am not afraid to say or display my love too. Love is my biggest weakness and my biggest strength.
I will end with a quote from Rumi – my biggest inspiration!
If I love myself, I love you. If I love you, I love myself!
