But you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light. – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
What an apt quote in these times! Each of us to have find what lights us up and ensure we spread the same to our fellow humans.
Today is the first day of my 2 weeks holiday. Well I won’t say I slept in coz it was regular day for Yash and he had to start school at 9 but I did have a lazy morning. It was an Indian omelette kinda day. I gave it a twist and added a few potato gems to it. It was a sumptuous breakfast with a hot cup of adrak chai – the best start to a slightly nippy morning.

Avi was busy with sprucing up the front and back yard which had overgrown like a jungle, Yash was busy with his school work and I decided to plonk myself on the couch and watched “Minimalism” on Netflix. It is a concept that fascinates me and as I have grown older, I am leaning towards it more and more. But it is a process and I have to prep my mind to be there. One thing that I did promise myself today was that I will not buy anything that I can do without this year.
It was Harry Potter movie 3 tonight and yash had been pestering me for chilli chicken. So I gave in to his wishes and cooked it. We had it with instant noodles. I was elevated to the title of “Best Mum Ever”.

I video called my family after that and it was good for all of us to chat together. I am grateful that in these trying times, technology is helping us lessen the distance from our loved ones. My family is my light, I hope you are keeping yours nearby!
