It was a typical autumn day today – cloudy, cool with a slight breeze. The thing that I am most enjoying these days is my morning ritual. It consists of a hot cup of tea, usually ginger, in my backyard. Avi spent a lot of time yesterday mowing the lawn, trimming the hedges and getting it spruced up. So it was wonderful to sit and have tea there while listening to the chirping birds. With no one out and about, it was so peaceful. I would have sat there longer except our neighbours decided that 8 am was Bhangra time and started blasting the music which drove me back indoors.
The cold meant that I did not feel like doing anything. I loved sitting in bed reading and listening to some AR Rahman music. I did cook gheeya ke kofte today. It is a dish made of bottle gourd and I am not fond of cooking it but I did not feel like eating the curry so made the kofta. Usually I make the vegetable but today we ate it as snack which was apt for the weather.

We moved away from Harry Potter today and watched Salaam Namaste. It is an old movie but we love it as it shows the Oz that we came to 16 years ago. Melbourne has changed with time, just like us. With time, the world is changing – for better or worse, only time will tell!
