May – you were busy, there was no may about it 🙂
It started with a bang with dear friend Kala turning 50! It was a much anticipated party and was made even more memorable as they hired a bus to take us to the city. The night was so much fun and I had a blast with friends and the cherry was that my parents were here and it was great to create memories with them.
I was so glad of my parents presence in my home. When I was young I used to read and listen about the impact of sages and wisdom in your surroundings. Although there are certain things I don’t agree with my parents, they brought that semblance and voice of experience in my home. It was so wonderful to be able to chat to them about everything and get their perspective or take on it. It is something I truly miss!
After my parents departure, it was all about catching up to all the things that we had ignored in the excitement of their company.
I attended the annual meet up for Saree Club Mother’s Day. It was an intimate affair with loads of fun and sharing motherhood stories. It was wonderful to listen to shared experiences on our journey as a mother.
The last weekend was a fultoo 70s party for my friend Pam who turned 50(+1). It was a night of good food, music, dances and creating memories. It was a fitting end to a memorable month.
Here’s a video of some choicest memories.
