I have been meaning to start writing again. My last challenge ended but I did not write the completion of it. Family and other distractions kept me away, not that is an excuse but sometimes the pace of life throttles the best of intentions! So I wanted to start something that I can sustain and also something that I am committed.
We (my husband and I) have always tried and set a goal for our lives. We are that sort of individuals that if we have something to go for, we can take the journey to reach there. We like to think in terms of decades. So we got married in our 20s and that decade was spent trying to know each other and setting foundation of our relationship. We moved to Australia just when we hit 30 and our goal for the next decade was to settle our roots in the country, have a child and build a house. Now that we have hit our 40, we want to bring balance in our lives. So this decade for us is all about well being – centring ourselves so that we are ready for the big five zero.
The above image is what I have always thought about complete well being. Spiritual wellness is equally important to physical well being. In fact the former has a huge impact in latter. So my plan? A big fan of Dalai Lama, I achieve my emotional grounding by reminding myself everyday what is important in life. Anything that has a price is cheap in my eyes. I am starting my walks to maintain my physical well being as I realise that growing older means that you cannot take your health for granted.
Connecting or relationships have always been important to me and they say charity begins at home! So I am paying more attention to the one closest to my heart. I am restarting my blog to chronicle my journey on how I fare towards my well being goal. Everyday I will try and write about something that centres around my well being.
I would love to have tips from you all and hear about what you do to maintain balance in your lives.
For today, here is a the picture that aptly sums up my philosophy in life.
