V is for vulnerability – our biggest strength. Showing vulnerability is about displaying your authentic self to the world. And what can be more powerful than that?
Vulnerability helps us make human connections. We can easily spot insincerity and fakeness from a mile away. By showing our authentic self to people, we easily attract positive energies.
Brene Brown, through her research, found that vulnerable people are better leaders. By being in touch with their emotional self, they can lead with compassion and empathy. Vulnerability is not about being an emotional wreck or “letting it all out” but being human. It is showing that you don’t need to know it all in every situation, that it is okay to be not okay and acknowledging it does not make you weaker.
For me vulnerability is just showing my true self to the world. It is less about not caring what the world thinks of me but more about me remaining close to myself.
Vulnerability is not winning or losing. It is the courage to show up when you can’t control the outcome.
