It is ironic that since the day I have started my blog on wellbeing, I have been unwell. My stomach has been hit by a bug and I am not coping well. They say that gut is your second brain and it is very true for me. My entire being gets messed up if my stomach is upset. What did I do? I don’t like popping pills but have always been a huge fan of the ancient Indian medicine practice of Ayurveda. I always keep “pudin hara” at home and even today it came to my rescue. It is a herbal mint based natural medicine that is a staple in most Indian households. For me, it is always my best friend whenever I feel a bit queasy and today was no different. I was a different woman by evening.
I read a great article today by Mallika Basu. The trend in the west seems to be around the things that the east have been using for centuries. Every time I hear about turmeric latte, I laugh and my mom’s voice seems to reverberate in my ear about drinking “haldi wala doodh” every night to ward off all diseases. Now hearing all the so called “trendy” cafes serving it makes my mother a hippie 🙂
This is my birthday month and every passing day makes me realise that I have finite time on this earth and that your life can be changed in a moment. So I intend to live it to the most, coz who knows what tomorrow will bring. Here is the quote for the day, till tomorrow……
