Clean eating – Day 8 & 9

Posted on August 23, 2015 by Sonali

Weekend was here! And what a contrast between the two days. Saturday was hot and balmy and a good indicator that summer was upon us. Not that I am complaining. This winter has been too long, Yash and I went cycling and were back in 30 minutes, sweaty and eager to get back in our cool house.

Sunday was windy and rainy. The temperature dropped a bit but it was still pleasant. We spent the day in the house being lazy and watching TV. Sometimes days like these are the best and I would say so for today.

Day 8 – Saturday

Yash and I had poha for breakfast which I quickly put together with the left over dosa aloo. My son is very find of Poha and he was happy to have his favourite breakfast. Avi was out for some work, so we managed lunch on our own. Yash had atta maggi while I had idli sambhar. Sambhar tasted even better the next day and I was very happy with my lunch. I cooked prawn pulao for dinner which turned out okay – not my best dish I would say. Check out the pics.

Day 9 – Sunday

It was raining and was the right weather to cook my favourite breakfast – bread pakoda. It is not the most healthy option but beats that in taste. A favourite in our household, I do not cook it very often, so it is always very well awaited when I do. I had quite a few of these, so decided to skip lunch and snoozed instead. Dinner was a simple affair of bhindi(okra) and methi paratha. An all green affair, it was the perfect folly for the breakfast. Here is the pic of my breakfast that I instagrammed! Till tomorrow….
