Today would be the second in my series “Letters to my Family”. Another place I got my inspiration was this Lettersfromago Read them and you will fall in love, like I did. I thought of doing the same so that there is something that my great grand kids can read too! Today it’s for my favourite person in the world – my dad!
Dear Papa
I know I am strong coz I am like you. Whenever some one talks about a self made man, the only one that I can think of is you! You are my ideal and hero. No written words can express how much I love you.
I know you portray that tough exterior but we know that there is a soft family man behind that, someone who has shielded us from the harsh realities of the world.
You kept me disciplined, you taught me right and wrong and then left me to choose my own version in the world. You taught me that it is more important to have values than be religious. You showed me that being an adult comes with responsibility, and you led by example!
You had fun with us – participating in our silly dances and singing with us. You always trusted us over the world, helping us become the confident individuals that we are today.
I may be a married woman in my 40s but I will remain your little girl forever papa! I love you to the moon and back! Stay with me forever.
