Day 15 – Favourite Male Character

Posted on October 16, 2020 by Sonali

I must admit I read a lot of books with strong female character. They do have male characters but mostly they are a co-actor rather than the centre of the story.

My favourite male character is Harry Potter. I love how Rowling has given shades to his personality. He seems real and is not a goody two shoes, as is in most of the books for the main character. He has shades of grey, is not perfect and makes mistakes. But even in adversity, he never gives up on his values and integrity.

The other character I really like is Dumbledore. He is again shown a man with many shades. I like that he is shown as a calm, composed man who manages to get through all sort of issues. But he is again shown as a real character who gave in to the temptation of wearing a cursed ring.

I cannot think of any other male character who I have liked as much at the ones above. Who is your favourite male character that you have read?
