I did well on my micro resolution for January. I vowed to dress up everyday and cultivate it as a habit. And I did! I ensured that I started my day spending time dressing up in the morning. I wore my dresses, my jewellery and put make up on just like I did when I was going to work. It did make a huge difference by kicking off the day in the right way. Now it has become part of my routine and turned into a habit. ✅
For February I have 2 micro resolutions
- Practice calm
- Sleep well
I have been a chronic insomniac for years. My sleep goes through cycles. There are nights when I sleep like a log and then there are other when I wake up in the middle of night and then can’t fall asleep.
Sleep deprivation, as I have learnt over the years, is a key cause of many diseases. It is also highly detrimental to our well being, one of the reasons why I shy away from late night parties or when I am required to stay awake beyond 11 pm.
This month is all about self care for me and practicing and cultivating habits which will help me sleep better. My first resolution is to start practicing calm – winding down in the evening, listening to soothing music or reading a book before going to bed. Hopefully they will help me with the second goal of sleeping better.
I aim to get at least 7-9 hours of sleep every night. If I can get 7 hours Of uninterrupted sleep, I will be cheering though I will push to get the optimum 9 hours.
I will tell you how I go – this one would be harder than the January one. But I am determined to hit this one and will give it my best shot – which is all that I can do.
