Z – Zest

Posted on August 27, 2021August 27, 2021 by sonalion

Z is for zest – that unbridled passion and energy for something. I have zest for positivity in my life. As I say, I don’t need any drugs or alcohol, I am high on life and there ain’t a better high!

As you must have seen a pattern in my posts, it doesn’t come easy. We have to push ourselves every day through depressing news, negativity and general despair around the world. But we have the arsenal that we can deploy – positivity, kindness, passion, optimism – to cut through this and reclaim our lives.

And that is a choice – I have made that choice that I will pick pieces every day to deploy my arsenal. Every time I fall, I will not remain there but get up and get going. Every time I suffer disappointment and pushback, I will not let it get to me but soldier on. I will continue to build my resilience and strength to live a wholesome and full life.

I am very privileged and lucky that I have met some amazing humans in my life who have helped me make this life journey easier. From superhero parents, amazing siblings, supportive husband to friends who share the same zest for life, my support circle is super important. Every time it has been hard, they have rallied around to ensure that I continue on the path.

Life is about choices – Let’s choose the ones that help us leave a better world to the next few generations.
